Through our community giving and sister company, Community Transformers Foundation, we are able to provide some wrap around services to our communities that address health and social equity.

​Donald Barrow is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Throughout his distinguished career, he built and nurtured strong relationships to support Medicaid and Medicare products, ensuring access to essential healthcare services for underserved populations. During his tenure at Sentara Healthcare, Donald’s leadership and commitment to improving healthcare delivery stood out. He retired in 2018 as a senior leader, responsible for overseeing operations in Virginia and North Carolina. His strategic vision and ability to foster partnerships played a pivotal role in the company’s success in these regions. Donald holds degrees in both business and Healthcare Management equipping

After his retirement from Sentara, Donald founded Community Transformers LLC,a health insurance agency, and the community-based organization, Community Transformers Equity and Impact Innovators, focused on equity and impact. As the CEO of Community Transformers, he continues to champion initiatives that promote healthcare access, innovation, and community transformation.Donald’s career has been defined by his unwavering dedication to improving healthcare access and quality, particularly for vulnerable populations.
